Must Know Birthday Party Tip #14
This tip concerns itself with memorializing the event for posterity. One or two pictures of an event is great, but a picture story tells so much more. You can find many software programs that allow you to make picture stories out of your pictures. You can add captions, voice inserts, and even background music if you wish. They are easy to use even for those with limited experience. Imagine making an entire disc of your child’s party.
This makes a great keepsake which your child will keep for life, and pass along to their children. Think how you would feel if your own childhood parties were preserved in such a way.
You can make it as high tech or low tech as you want. Not only can you include the pictures from the party, you can include preparation lists, pieces of wrapping paper, notations regarding the food served, games played, and guest lists in a kind of “scrapbook.” You can also add quirks, likes, dislikes, accidents which happened, and so on to “paint the picture.”
The objective is to memorialize the day and event and make your child feel special–especially when you are no longer around to share those memories.
